Role Clarity For Culture

As a leader it is important to develop clear ROLES & responsibilities to build team culture. From the top down, right through the company or team, it is important that not only each person has clarity on their role, but also every other person.

Culture is the behaviours, attitudes, values and beliefs shared by a team. It is how people work together towards a common goal and how they treat each other.

The culture starts at the top and to ensure it can foster and develop effectively, each person needs to clearly know their and their other team members roles and responsibilities. If people know what they are accountable for then it is easier to foster a collaborative team culture.

Does your team have role clarity for culture?

PERSONALITY Unlock Your Limiting Beliefs

Our brains produce as many as 50,000 thoughts per day According to the National Science Foundation. 95% of those thoughts are repeated daily!

You have full control over how you think and what is a yes or a no, can or can’t and will or won’t.

What are limiting beliefs? They are there beliefs we create in our mind that prevent us from achieving our dreams and goals.

Limiting Beliefs are usually formed when we are young. Quite often between the ages of 5 and 12. They develop as a result of an event in our lives. It might be something we did, something someone else did or said to us. It might be the behaviours we witnessed every day in our lives

As we grow limiting beliefs become embedded in our mindset, unless we create interventions.

How do we recognise a limiting belief?

  • Awareness – does our belief move us forward or limit our potential?
  • Honest – is the story in our head actually true?
  • Facts – is there any evidence behind what you believe?
  • Pause – it is ok to acknowledge that you don’t have enough experience or resources at present, but it’s not ok to say therefore I can’t or won’t

We all have limiting beliefs. The key is to be able to recognize and then reframe.

It starts with a growth mindset – the belief that intelligence can be developed –through hard work, asking questions, experimenting and applying effective strategies.

I’s time to implement a high performance mindset:

High Performance Mindset

  1. Awareness – create an awareness of your thoughts and beliefs?
  2. Attention – where is your focus and what is your intention of focus?
  3. Movement – Sam cawthorn “motion evokes emotion”
  4. Delegation – outsource what doesn’t require your attention
  5. Winner – mentality of winning
  6. Achievement – celebrate small wins
  7. Solution – not the problem
  8. Why – self discovery of what is your purpose, dream and passion
  9. Positive – mindset
  10. Plan – Without a road map and a destination, how will you know you are going in the right direction?

Active CEO Performance Tip

Create Your CEO Legacy – Having a purpose in life and aligning it to the work that you do is important if you wish to enjoy what you do, be productive and perform at a high level. Some people have a desire to go beyond the world they work in and leave a legacy for future generations to benefit from. CEO Legacy is all about finding a greater purpose through a project or movement that creates a ripple effect across an area, industry or the world. A great example of this is Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, which is guided by the belief that every life has equal value. They wish to help all people lead healthy, productive lives. In developing countries, it focuses on improving people’s health and giving them the chance to lift themselves out of hunger and extreme poverty. In the United States, it seeks to ensure that all people—especially those with the fewest resources—have access to the opportunities they need to succeed in school and life. What is your legacy?
