“We really want to try to grab their content in the first couple seconds because if not, they’re going to scroll past or they’re going to press the skip button. So when it comes to a lot of online ads, you really have to grab their attention in the first few seconds and try to keep their attention rather than just kind of making it like a, hey, look over here.” Mike Vannelli talks about capturing people’s attention through ads on the Inspiring Great Leaders Podcast.

“That requires you as a leader to know your humans. And so I think that that’s the skill that people need. Have real empathy, real care, real wanting to get to know them, ignoring the kids’ noise, knowing the partner’s name, know how old they are, know what their hobbies are, know why they get up every day and come to work.” Jade Green discusses building personal relationships with your people on the Inspiring Great Leaders Podcast.

“That’s what really drives me. It’s like, I’m not going to just coach you on making 100 cold calls today. What else is going to help you as a human being? And I think that’s always just given me that zest to constantly push and constantly grow.” Learning in leadership with Jade Green on the Inspiring Great Leaders Podcast.

“Your people are giving you the most precious resource they have in their entire life that they can never get back their time. And in most corporates, in most roles, we give more hours to the job than we do anything else combined. So how about how about just a little bit of attitude of gratitude for the fact that they show up and a little bit of ownership over if they’re not giving you what you expect and they are not performing how you want them to perform, where are you at?” Jade Green talks about gratitude being a two-way street on the Inspiring Great Leaders Podcast.

“Ultimately, who does it serve? What is the value it creates? How do we make sure there’s widespread accessibility? And what does it ultimately mean for humanity as a species? Are some of the more existential questions we’re starting to ask ourselves.” Jon Yeo talks about the acceleration of technology on the Inspiring Great Leaders Podcast.

“It’s about being aware of what you can do, what you can’t do when it comes to speaking, communication, influence, and giving yourself the best chance to put your best foot forward when the opportunity turns up.” Having a system for communication with Jon Yeo on the Inspiring Great Leaders Podcast.

“This is where human values come into mind, into human decision making, human logic. And these are all things that you can’t program the way you can program, but it’s got to be programmed in such a way that everyone’s included and we don’t have that capability. And so that’s the bit that’s both interesting and a concern for me when it comes to technology.” The intersection of human & artificial intelligence with Jon Yeo on the Inspiring Great Leaders Podcast.

“There’s one thing that every human being on this planet fears, and it’s one shared fear amongst all of us, and that is the unknown. So that’s why we get trapped in situations where we know we’re not happy, but we don’t know how to get out of that, because to get out of that, we have to make a leap of faith.” Adele Spraggon talks about fear of the unknown on the Inspiring Great Leaders Podcast.

“I think though coaching is one of those things that if you love doing it, it really becomes a huge purpose in life because it’s so meaningful to be able to support somebody out of those places where they think I’m trapped and I can never get out.” Finding meaning through coaching with Adele Spraggon on the Inspiring Great Leaders Podcast.

“Our human brain is such that it creates patterns or neural pathways. And so every time that a child learns something, the brain stores that away in the form of a pattern so that it can repeat that behaviour in the future. So we tend to rely on actions that we’ve already done in the past. And once our brain has a pattern, it tends to take that action over and over again, which is why somebody can make the same mistake repeatedly knowing it’s a mistake but not being able to change it.” The neural pathways of the human brain with Adele Spraggon on the Inspiring Great Leaders Podcast.
