Why Was I Born on This Planet?

By Craig Johns

From a very young age I have always known what my purpose or place on this earth is. It has been crystal clear to me and I feel the passion for it, right from deep in my core, every day. It’s embedded in my DNA, and is what fuels my fire to rise up and deliver.

I always cringe when I hear young people say, I don’t know what I want to do in life. I feel heartbroken when older people say they still haven’t found what they are looking for and they continue to go through the motions just to make ends meet, whether they are happy or not.

From day one I have always done things because they make me happy, feel fulfilled and if I don’t love it anymore, I stop doing it. There have never been dead ends, just intersections that provide new pathways to explore and discover.

So, why was I born on this planet?

No matter whether it is in a sporting, workplace, lifestyle, artistic, music or creative environment, I have an innate ability to continually motivate, encourage, empower and inspire belief in people and the team around them to do something they have never done before. I thrive on seeing people grow in confidence, see the world in a different light and produce special moments.

I am not one to follow or allow others to follow. Life is just too short just to go along for the ride. There is nothing better than being in the driver’s seat, catalysing change and pioneering the way we live our lives.

Life for me is about producing environments where learning is an ever evolving way of being. It’s not about teaching the past but unlocking new ways to live in the future. Whether it is coaching an athlete, teaching young children, leading a team of employees, having a conversation, being in a relationship, inspiring people of all generations, writing an article or building a community I always find ways to raise the bar, and allow people to see a whole new world or way of doing things.

Communities are the lifeblood of our existence. There is nothing more fulfilling than leaving a community in a better place than when you first became a part of it. The real deal of a community is to create a feeling of togetherness, deep pillars of support, and a connection the breaks down and overcomes barriers.

That satisfying feeling when your existence and encouragement enables people to overcome their greatest hindrance in life, fear, is irreplaceable. Providing the tools to ‘release’ the inner fear is the catalyst for people achieving something they have never done before. People are their own biggest barrier, so my role in life is to unlock the possibilities to allow them to exceed their potential.

Do you know why you are on this planet? Let me know I would love to hear how you make a difference.
